As the matter is currently under investigation, we cannot comment on the specifics of the case. We remain committed to maintaining a safe, inclusive, and respectful workplace for all our employees.”

What's The Matter?

The complainant has alleged that while working at Wipro’s Hinjewadi campus in Pune, she was targeted by senior managers and team leaders because of her religious beliefs. She claimed she was repeatedly pressured to convert to Islam and follow its practices. She further alleged that when she refused, workplace harassment increased.

"I had to come forward with the level of harassment and torture I have faced over the past ten months," Jagran.com quoted the former employee as saying. She also raised serious questions about the company's management, stating, "When we report these incidents to the company, they dismiss them, and the matter is later hushed up."

According to her, she was threatened with poor performance reviews and job termination by her manager. Due to mental stress and continued pressure, she eventually resigned from her job. After not receiving a satisfactory response from the company’s internal complaint system, she approached the police and filed a formal complaint. The Pune Police is investigating the matter.
