Both Houses of Parliament were adjourned for the day after Wednesday's proceedings. The Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha will reconvene on Thursday, July 30 at 11:00 am.

Parliament Live Updates: Delhi: Speaking on the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Amendment Bill, 2026, AAP MP Sanjay Singh said it was fine that it had passed in the Lok Sabha. "Everyone wants the strictest possible law to be made. My question is that only when evidence comes before the fast-track court will the fast-track court give punishment. The CBI goes and says about Sanjeev Mukhiya (the main accused in the NEET paper leak 2024) that we have no evidence. The main accused in the NEET paper leak 2024 has been acquitted. Tomorrow we will raise all these issues," he added.

Parliament Live Updates: On Public Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means) Amendment Bill, Samajwadi Party MP Pushpendra Saroj said the discussion was crucial, and the bill was rushed through hastily; at the very least, suggestions could have been sought. "Many young MPs like myself wanted to speak and voice our views, but we were not allowed to do so. Even the Leader of the Opposition was interrupted. A demand was also raised for the Home Minister to come and explain which department made the decision to lathi-charge students, open fire with AK-47s, and break bones," he added.

Parliament Live Updates: On the Prevention of Insults to National Honour (Amendment) Bill, 2026, passed in the Rajya Sabha, BJP MP Dinesh Sharma said it was ensured that there should be no insult to the national song, Vande Mataram. Congress can't openly say that they are not in support of this (bill), but none of their people came to speak on the bill, he added.

Lok Sabha on Wednesday passed the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Amendment Bill, 2026, by voice vote. The bill will now be debated in the Rajya Sabha.

If the Home Minister didn't even know that shots were being fired, it means he is incompetent; otherwise, if he ordered it, he is culpable..."

An Adjournment Motion Notice in Lok Sabha was submitted by Congress MP Manish Tewari to debate "the contours of a new Anti-Defection Law that proscribes Mass Political Defections driven by opportunism and bereft of any genuine ideological or policy differences while simultaneously providing space for honest and critical dissent both inside and outside Parliament and the legislatures."

The Centre will bring the Supreme Court (Number of Judges) Amendment Bill, 2026, for consideration and passing on Wednesday.
