The investigation into the firing at actor Tiger Shroff’s car in Mumbai has revealed how the alleged shooters may have used news coverage to stay ahead of the police. Their handlers reportedly monitored television reports about the October 18 attack and passed on information about the investigation, warning the accused when their faces appeared on screen.
According to sources cited by news agency PTI, one of the main suspects received a message urging the group to flee after television channels aired footage of the shooting.
“Tumhare chehre aa gaye hain, nikal jao waha se (Your faces are out, get out of there),” the message allegedly read.

Investigators are examining the latest suspect’s alleged role and whether he was connected to the network that allegedly supported the shooters. Police are also preparing the evidence and documentation required to invoke the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) against those arrested.
The probe is continuing into the alleged use of encrypted messaging platforms, the supply of weapons and the identities of those who may have coordinated the attack or helped the suspects evade arrest.
