Babita, one of the women arrested in the Tiger Shroff firing case, was allegedly taken to Mumbai by co-accused Radha on the pretext of visiting temples, her family has claimed. Her sister, Neelam, said Babita had no knowledge of the weapons allegedly carried in Radha's bag or the plan to attack the Bollywood actor.

The family learnt about Babita's detention only after receiving a call informing them that she had been taken into custody because she was travelling with Radha, Neelam said.

"We didn't know when the incident happened. Yesterday around 11 o'clock, my brother received a call informing him that his sister was in custody. My brother asked what crime she was in custody for and what mistake she had made. They explained that something was found in the bag of her friend, Radha, and since she was with Radha, she was also detained. They assumed that both were involved in this together. After that, my brother asked to speak with his sister. During the conversation, she said that she was innocent and had no idea what was in Radha's bag. Radha had simply asked her to come along to visit a temple. She took her under the pretence of visiting a temple. On their way back, she realised that they were up to something wrong, but how much awareness can someone from a village have," IANS quoted Neelam.

Babita, 23, belongs to Azamgarh in Uttar Pradesh and previously worked as a packer in Sonipat, Haryana. Police are examining her background, past contacts and possible links between Mumbai and Delhi. The Azamgarh police have joined the investigation alongside their Delhi and Mumbai counterparts, officials said.

Accused Allegedly Tested Weapon Before Attack

The investigation has also revealed details about the alleged preparations for the shooting. Mumbai Police, as cited by IANS, said the accused reportedly practised firing at a location near Mumbai before the attack.

During interrogation, they allegedly identified the spot where they tested the weapon. One accused reportedly fired two rounds, while another fired one.

The weapon also allegedly misfired during testing inside a hotel room in Andheri, with a bullet hitting the bed. Investigators are examining the location where the firing practice took place and how the accused prepared for the attack.

Three alleged shooters, Hrithik alias Roshan, 22, from Bihar, and Rehan, 18, and Phool Singh, 18, from Haryana, were arrested in Kota, Rajasthan. Sources claimed that they had links to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang and planned to flee to Nepal.

Radha and Babita, along with two other accused, Kunal, 21, and Sumit, 19, were arrested for delivering weapons to the shooters.

Alleged Weapon Supply And Escape Plan

Kunal, who was recently released on bail, allegedly came into contact with Anil Pandit, a gangster linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang suspected of ordering the attack through an associate.

Kunal allegedly procured a pistol and 20 cartridges from Amritsar before persuading Radha to transport the weapon to Mumbai.

On October 15, Kunal allegedly took Radha and Babita to New Delhi Railway Station for their journey to Mumbai. The group reportedly communicated through an encrypted application, with Kunal relaying instructions from Anil Pandit.

Two days later, Radha and Babita arrived at Mumbai's Dadar Railway Station and checked into a hotel. Another accused allegedly collected the bag containing the weapons from Radha.

The following day, three men allegedly attacked Shroff. At around the same time, Radha and Babita boarded the Haridwar Express from Dadar and left Mumbai for Delhi.

Police are continuing to investigate the alleged roles of the accused, the weapon's movement and the suspected links between those who allegedly planned the attack and those who carried it out.
