INDIA Bloc Rally: Former West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Sunday launched a direct attack on Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) during her address at the INDIA bloc's 'Chalo Delhi' rally held at Delhi's Ramlila Maidan.
Addressing the gathering, Banerjee used a satirical adaptation of the popular "Johny Johny Yes Papa" nursery rhyme to accuse the Election Commission and the ruling party of vote theft.
Referring to the poll body chief as "Vanish Kumar," she recited, "Vanish-vanish (Gyanesh-Gyanesh)? Yes Papa! Vote chori? Yes Papa! Loktantra chori? Yes Papa! Loot kisne kiya? BJP Papa! Parde ke peeche kaun hai? BJP Papa! BJP chahiye? NO Papa! Vanish Kumar chahiye? NO, PAPA!"

"Bengal Is Victim Of SIR"
Raising concerns over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in West Bengal, Banerjee alleged that the state had been targeted through the exercise.
"Bengal is the victim of the circumstances of this SIR. We will not give up. We will give our lives, we will fight, but we will not surrender. They looted our Bengal. We will save democracy and bring it back... We will take revenge through politics. We will take revenge through democracy. We will fight," Banerjee said.
Key INDIA bloc leaders, including Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi, and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, along with Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, gathered to raise concerns over the alleged irregularities in the SIR of electoral rolls.
The mobilisation followed a public "impeachment" program organised against the CEC in the national capital. Senior opposition leaders and supporters from across the country participated in the 'Chalo Delhi' march, which began at the Minto Road-Connaught Place junction and proceeded to the rally venue.
