In a chilling incident, a 37-year-old man died in Uttar Pradesh's Kanpur after he was dragged for around 1.5 km on the roof of a speeding car while his hands remained trapped in its front windows. The man was then thrown onto the road and run over by the vehicle.
The horrific incident reportedly took place on Tuesday night and was captured in nearby CCTV cameras. The deceased has been identified as Biru Singh Bhadauria, who worked as a salesman for a food products company.
After the incident, his family took him to a private hospital, which referred him to Hallet Hospital. At around 3 PM on Wednesday, doctors at the hospital declared him dead.
Birus' family has accused Rajveer and Mewalal, with whom the deceased had a dispute a few days ago. The group had stopped Biru and assaulted him. When Biru tried to escape, he was hit by the car.
