Greater Noida Hit-And-Run: A hit-and-run-like incident has been reported in Greater Noida West, days after a similar case in Gurugram. A speeding car allegedly hit a man who was crossing the road near Ek Murti Chowk in the early hours of September 5. The victim suffered multiple fractures and is currently undergoing treatment.
Pedestrian Suffers Multiple Fractures
The incident took place at around 4:35 am in the Ek Murti Chowk area, under the Bisrakh police station. CCTV footage shows a speeding car hitting the pedestrian as he crossed the road. The impact left the man seriously injured. He has reportedly suffered fractures in his legs, arms, knee, and spine and is currently receiving medical treatment.
Accused Driver Arrested
According to the station house officer, police registered a case after receiving a complaint from the injured man. The accused driver was subsequently arrested. Police are investigating the circumstances of the accident and examining the CCTV footage.
Video Emerges Online
Meanwhile, CCTV footage of the incident has surfaced on social media and is being widely circulated. The video appears to show the car speeding towards the pedestrian before the collision. The incident has raised concerns over road safety and the growing number of hit-and-run and rash-driving cases in the National Capital Region (NCR).

Gurugram Hit-And-Run Case
The incident comes days after a woman biker was allegedly hit by a car on Golf Course Road in Gurugram. The collision was also caught on camera, and the footage went viral after the rider shared it on social media. The accused, Kalyan Bainsla, a gym owner, was arrested on Tuesday after a two-day search. He was arrested on charges of attempted murder and stalking.
Speaking to ANI about the incident, victim Sia said, "I have injuries on my knees. I am grateful to God that I was wearing my riding shoes and riding gloves. If I hadn't been wearing my riding shoes and gloves, the impact on my hand could have even broken my shoulder. My leg could have been broken too."
