Bihar MLC Election Results: The Member of Legislative Council (MLC) election in Bihar witnessed a neck-and-neck contest, with both the ruling NDA and opposition winning three seats each. RJD leader Rohini Acharya, soon after the announcement of results, suggested a new political formula to defeat the BJP-led NDA in Bihar. In a post on X, Acharya stated that the NDA could be kept out of power if RJD and Prashant Kishor's Jan Suraaj joined hands.

Rohini Acharya's Post

In her post, the RJD leader stated that the MLC poll result has given the precise formula to defeat the ruling alliance. She claimed that the NDA could not have won even a single seat in the MLC polls if the Tejashwi Yadav-led party had contested with Jan Suraaj. She concluded the post with a "wait and watch" remark, suggesting a possible alliance in the coming times.

"The MLC elections held in Bihar have provided the formula to defeat BJP/NDA in Bihar. Tejashwi + PK = BJP/NDA ZERO. If the votes received by RJD and Jan Suraaj are added together, BJP/NDA would lose all 8 seats in the very first phase. PS: Wait and see what happens next!!" Acharya said in her post.

Prashant Kishor's Stance

While Acharya has suggested a new formula, an alliance between Jan Suraaj and RJD will not be very convenient given Prashant Kishor's intense campaign against Tejashwi during the Bihar assembly elections. Kishor repeatedly highlighted the educational qualifications of Tejashwi and accused the Lalu-Rabri family of nepotism. Apart from this, Kishor also pointed out that Bihar needs a fresh political force to deal with the current issues.

RJD-Congress Alliance

Apart from this, RJD is also currently a member of the Congress-led INDIA Bloc and is also in alliance with the left parties. While they contested the MLC polls separately, the INDIA Bloc contested the assembly and general election unitedly. Tejashwi Yadav is unlikely to consider a new equation, that too with a new party, by breaking the ties with the RJD's allies.
