12-Year-Old Daughter Of Rohit Pawar’s PA Found Dead Under Suspicious Circumstances; MLA Urges Unbiased Probe

A 12-year-old girl, who is the daughter of NCP (SP) MLA Rohit Pawar’s personal assistant, was found dead under suspicious circumstances in Maharashtra’s Baramati area on Sunday. The victim was identified as Avani Ajit Dashavatare, daughter of Ajit Dashavatare. Her body was found near her residence on Sunday morning. Reacting to the incident, Rohit Pawar said that the police must conduct an investigation without any negligence.

Initial reports reveal that the teenager went missing on Saturday evening, following which a missing complaint was filed by the Dasavatare family.

What's The Matter?

On Saturday, Avani had an argument with her mother, after which she left the house angrily. When the minor did not return till late night, the family decided to register a complaint.

The next morning, her body was recovered near the residence. Upon receiving information, police reached the spot. The minor’s body has been sent for post-mortem at the Baramati Government Medical College. The exact cause of the death is yet to be ascertained.

While the possibility of suicide is being considered at the initial stage, officials have not ruled out any other angle, including murder. The post-mortem report is expected to help determine the circumstances surrounding the girl's death.

What Did Rohit Pawar Say

MLA Rohit Pawar visited the hospital and said that he is shocked by the incident and criticised the police and the home department over the issue. says, "My private assistant Ajit’s 15-year-old daughter went missing last night, and a police complaint was filed. After search efforts by the family and police, her body was found near their building at around 8.30am today. Her post-mortem is underway at the Baramati Medical College. We have asked the Deputy SP to conduct a proper investigation to determine what happened. A family wants justice. CCTV footage is being examined,” he added.

"We are waiting for the police investigation to be completed. The police must reveal the truth without any negligence. If there has been any lapse in the way the police handled the matter, it will come at a cost to them," Pawar said.
