A shocking double murder has come to light in Delhi’s CR Park area, where a father and son were killed late Friday night at Tara Apartments following a dispute over money. The deceased have been identified as Rakesh Sood and Karan Sood.
Father-Son Duo Murdered In CR Park
According to reports, a man allegedly attacked Karan (son) with a sharp-edged weapon during the altercation, leading to the fatal incident. When his father, Rakesh, intervened to save his son, the accused attacked him as well. While both the father and son died on the spot, the accused fled the scene immediately after committing the crime. The police have taken custody of both bodies and sent them for a post-mortem examination.

A case has been registered under the relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and raids are currently being conducted to apprehend the accused. Police officials stated that the deceased, Karan Sood, lived with his family at Tara Apartments in CR Park. He was involved in the real estate business, a venture owned by his father, Rakesh. Preliminary investigations have revealed that a long-standing dispute regarding financial transactions existed between the accused and the victims.
What Led To Altercation?
On Friday evening, an altercation erupted between the two parties over financial matters, which then escalated into a violent clash. Using the weapon, the man inflicted more than half a dozen blows to each of them. They were rushed to the hospital, where doctors pronounced them dead upon arrival. Upon receiving the information, the CR Park police force arrived at the location and inspected the crime scene. A forensic team was also summoned to collect evidence.
Accused On Run
Police officials stated that the accused has been identified, and multiple teams have been constituted to apprehend him. CCTV footage is also being reviewed to trace his movements. According to police, there had been earlier disputes between the two parties l, but the matter turned serious this time.
