- Delhi receives light rain, bringing relief from humidity.
- IMD issues yellow alert for continued light to moderate rain.
- Intermittent showers and cloudy skies expected until August 12.
Delhi Weather Update: Delhi residents woke up to light rain on Friday for the second consecutive day, offering much-needed relief from the humid weather. Visuals from India Gate and Kartavya Path showed people carrying out their daily activities in the light rain. The national capital has been witnessing intermittent rainfall for the past week as the monsoon intensifies in the northern region.
The recurring spells of rain have kept temperatures in check, offering extended relief to residents. However, they have also exposed the city's poor drainage system as several areas continue to face waterlogging after the heavy downpours. Slow vehicular movement, traffic snarls, and submerged roads are other issues that affect people during rains.
