During a press briefing, DCP Central Rohit Rajbir Singh said that there were no death during the Cockroach Janata Party's agitation on July 20. 

"We have noticed that some attempts are being made to spread misinformation on social media. So far, more than 400 Pakistani social media handles have been identified, which are taking advantage of this situation and spreading fake content and rumors. They are being blocked. These are the same social media handles which were active during Operation Sindoor as well. Their only aim is to provoke people and especially divert the attention of students. I appeal to you that for the safety of children, do not get provoked by any fake post, edited videos or any post made by anonymous handle. Fact check any post before sharing it. Do not spread rumors and do not let any anti-social elements control your emotions. Remember that it is your right to hold a peaceful protest and Delhi Police respects this right," said Delhi Police DCP Sumit Jha.

The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) on Saturday accused the Delhi Police of restricting food supplies and assistance to protesters at the Jantar Mantar demonstration site. CJP activist Ashutosh Ranka, sharing a screenshot of a WhatsApp chat, claimed that checkpoints had been set up around 5 km from the protest venue, alleging that students heading to the protest were being detained.

In Bihar, youth affiliated with AISA (All India Students' Association) blocked the Samastipur-Patna main road as part of a statewide shutdown called over the NEET paper leak controversy and alleged police action during student protests. ,

According to ANI citing sources, 130 police personnel have been injured and 15 FIRs have been registered in connection with the protest at Jantar Mantar. Around 65 students were also injured during the demonstrations.

CJP on Saturday said the group wants a clear "yes or no" from the Central government on whether it will seek the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan ahead of a scheduled meeting with the government later in the day.

"They had given us the time for 3.30-4 pm today. The location has not been finalised yet. Discussions are very clear. We should get written confirmation for the two demands on which there has been in-principle agreement. So that they can be closed. We need clarity over Dharmendra Pradhan - whether they will seek his resignation or not. We want an answer in Yes or No because there is not much scope for deliberation over this," CJP spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka said.

ctivist Sonam Wangchuk on Friday hit out at critics questioning his decision to end his 26-day hunger strike held in support of students protesting over the alleged NEET paper leak.

In a video message shared on social media, Wangchuk questioned why his commitment to the cause needed a character certificate.

"After 26 days of fasting for the sake of students, losing 11 kilograms of body weight in which I have also lost muscle mass and my organs and brain reached the verge of irreversible damage, and doing all this in the scorching heat of Delhi after coming from the bitter cold of Ladakh, do I have to seek a character certificate from anyone about how sacred my fast was, about whose hands I broke it at, or whether I made a deal or not?... Shame on a country that produces such minds, from which such vile thoughts spring..," he said in a video.,
