CJP Protest Day 2 Updates: Union Minister JP Nadda on Tuesday visited two major hospitals in New Delhi. He went to Ram Manohar Lohia (RML) Hospital and Lady Hardinge Hospital and met people who were injured during a recent protest march to Parliament organised by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP). During his visit, Nadda also held a meeting with doctors and hospital officials to get updates on the condition of the injured protesters.

Nadda Meets Injured Protesters

According to news agency PTI reports, hospital authorities briefed Nadda on the condition of the students, saying that all of them were under medical supervision and receiving the necessary treatment.  Thousands of people joined the CJP's "Chalo Sansad" march on Monday, demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the NEET paper leak. Police used batons and tear gas to disperse the crowd, leading to chaos. According to the Delhi Police, about 60 protesters and more than 118 police officers were injured during the protest.

CJP Protest Continues At Jantar Mantar; Latest Updates

Despite police clearing the Jantar Manta protest site on Monday evening, protesters camped at Jantar Mantar through the night despite heavy rain. On Tuesday morning, volunteers cleaned up the area and tidied the main stage, which was the only structure left standing after police removed all the tents. As the protest continues, here are the latest updates:

Delhi HC Asks Centre To Move Activist To Medanta Hospital

The Delhi High Court on Tuesday agreed to shift activist and educationist Sonam Wangchuk to Medanta hospital. The court stated that all the treatment details which have been done so far at Safdarjung hospital will be transferred to the private hospital.

Injured Protester Put On Ventilator

According to news agency PTI, citing hospital sources, a young woman injured in police action during CJP protest has been put on ventilator in RML.

Safdarjung Hospital RDA Writes To Prez Murmu

The Resident Doctors' Association (RDA) of Vardhman Mahavir Medical College and Safdarjung Hospital have written to President Droupadi Murmu to protect patient rights. The doctors stepped in following reports that Wangchuk was allegedly stopped from leaving the hospital under Leave Against Medical Advice (LAMA), despite being fully conscious and capable of making his own medical decisions.

AIIMS Docs Write To Prez, Seek Inquiry

The Resident Doctors' Association of All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Delhi also appealed to President Murmu to order an independent, time-bound inquiry into the events that unfolded at Jantar Mantar on Monday. They further raised concern over reports that Wangchuk was not allowed to leave Safdarjung Hospital despite seeking LAMA.

Abhijeet Dipke Apologises To Protesters

CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke apologised to injured supporters, especially women who alleged that unnamed police officers beat them and labelled them "terrorists." Dipke folded his hands to comfort them and dismissed social media rumors that leaders had fled, explaining that spokespersons Ashutosh Ranka and Saurav Das were actually meeting Nadda to resolve the standoff.

Delhi Police Registers 5 FIRs 

The Delhi Police have filed five FIRs following the violence, stone-pelting, and vandalism during the Jantar Mantar protest. Sources indicate that officials are currently reviewing video footage to identify more individuals, which can lead to additional cases being registered soon.

Mumbai Police Registers Three Cases

Mumbai Police has also registered three separate cases against more than 50 protesters in connection with the CJP protest held at Chaityabhoomi in Dadar.
