He was among seven AAP MPs who recently left the party and joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Sandeep Pathak Goes Untraceable Amid Arrest Fears
According to reports, Pathak left his government residence on Saturday. Security was increased outside his home, and he was later seen leaving through a back entrance before getting into a car and going to an undisclosed location. NDTV reported, citing sources, that Pathak's phone is switched off, and he is currently untraceable. The report added that legal teams linked to the BJP are currently working on seeking relief for him.

“I have devoted my entire life to serving the country with honesty and integrity. The country is bigger than any party, and I will never betray it. This could be a sign of nervousness on the part of my opponents. If any action has been initiated against someone like me, it only shows how scared they are. I don’t wish to say anything further,” Pathak said.
BJP Accuses AAP Of Using Police For Political Vendetta
Punjab BJP working president Ashwani Sharma has accused the AAP government in Punjab of using the police to silence the opposition. In an X post, Sharma wrote, “There is no law in Punjab; now, political vendetta is in effect. Bhagwant Mann and Kejriwal's fear exposed. The fact that a non-bailable FIR was registered against Rajya Sabha MP Sandeep Pathak ji in Punjab as soon as he left AAP and joined BJP clearly shows that Kejriwal and Bhagwant Mann are using the police as a political weapon.”
