Dacoit Release: Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur's action drama Dacoit is one of the most highly anticipated releases of 2026. Directed by cinematographer-turned-director Shaneil Deo, the film also stars Anurag Kashyap. As fans eagerly await the film's release on March 19, alongside two big releases- Dhurandhar 2 and Toxic. However, it seems like the makers are planning to avoid the crowded March release window. According to reports, Dacoit is now eyeing an April 2026 release.

Not On March 19, Dacoit To Release In April?

The makers of Dacoit are reportedly planning to shift the release date to secure a clearer theatrical window and avoid a clash at the box office. As per the source quoted by The Hollywood Reporter India, "With production wrapping on Tuesday and the final cut shaping up strongly, the team is keen to position the film on a date that allows it maximum visibility and breathing room."

Dacoit Vs Dhurandhar 2 Vs Toxic Clash

Dhurandhar 2 is gearing up for a theatrical release on March 19, 2026. Expectations are high for the sequel after the first part became a box office success since its release on December 5, followed by a successful OTT release. Many movies have shifted their release dates to avoid a direct clash with Ranveer Singh and Aditya Dhar's Dhurandhar 2. However, the makers of Yash’s Toxic appear to be sticking to the originally announced release date. Fans are already picking their side between the two. Amid this buzz, Dacoit is reportedly to shift its release from March to April.

Starring Adivi Sesh, Mrunal Thakur and Anurag Kashyap, Dacoit is touted to be a gripping, broken love story involving two robbers. The story follows a man who escapes from prison and seeks revenge on a woman who betrayed him. The film promises high-octane action and drama. Directed by Shaneil Deo and produced by Supriya Yarlagadda, with Suniel Narang serving as co-producer. Besides starring, Sesh also shares screenplay and dialogue credits with Deo.

Dacoit also features Prakash Raj, Sunil, Atul Kulkarni, Zayn Marie Khan and Kamakshi Bhaskarla in key roles.
