Kannada TV actress Kavya Gowda has been trending online after making shocking claims about a violent family dispute. What started as an internal disagreement matter allegedly escalated into physical assault, leaving her husband, Somasekhar, stabbed at their home in Ramamurthy Nagar, Bengaluru. According to reports, Kavya and her husband have been admitted to the hospital and the couple has approached the police. As per a complaint filed by the actress, the accused forced their way into the house, abused the couple using obscene language and physically assaulted them.
Kavya has alleged that she and her husband Somashekar were attacked by their family members. According to a TOI report, the actress claimed that the assault was carried out by Somashekar’s brother Nandish, his wife Prema, Prema’s father Ravi Kumar, and her sister Priya. During this clash, Somashekar was allegedly stabbed with a knife and is currently undergoing treatment in the hospital. The shocking incident has reportedly left Kavya Gowda mentally traumatised and she is also receiving treatment at the private hospital.
Gowda was allegedly threatened with rape and death. After the incident, a complaint was filed by her sister, Bhavya Gowda, at the Ramamurthy Nagar Police Station. Police have registered a case against Ravikumar, Prema, Nandish, and Priya, based on allegations of assault, criminal intimidation, sexual threats, and attempted murder.

This tragic incident reportedly arose from ongoing disputes between the families of two brothers living in the same house. According to reports, members of the other family have also lodged counter-complaints. Ramamurthy Nagar police are investigating the matter from both sides. CCTV footage from the house is being examined, and statements from everyone involved are being recorded.
According to the FIR filed by Kavya’s sister Bhavya Gowda, the incident took place on January 26. The complaint alleges that Somasekhar’s brother, sister-in-law Prema, their father Ravikumar, and a woman named Priya abused and physically attacked the couple and also slapped their two-year-old child. The dispute started over a woman named Suma, who takes care of her daughter, Siya.
