What Is One Battle After Another About?

One Battle After Another is loosely inspired by Thomas Pynchon’s 1990 novel Vineland. The crime and political action thriller with dark comedic elements centres around a washed-up stoner and a former revolutionary, Bob Ferguson, played by DiCaprio, who lives a quiet life with his spirited, self-reliant daughter Willa, portrayed by rising actor Chase Infiniti. Their lives get disturbed after Bob's old rival Lockjaw (Sean Penn) returns after 16 years and soon Willa goes missing. Bob is then forced to confront his past and battle its consequences to rescue his daughter.
