With Tumbbad, SohumShah crafted a true cinematic masterpiece that gradually earned a cult following and is now hailed as one of the finest Hindi folklore fantasy films. Its re-release in 2024 further amplified its legacy, turning it into the second highest-grossing re-released Indian film. Ever since, anticipation for Tumbbad 2 has been sky-high, and Sohum Shah’s announcement has only deepened the intrigue around what’s to come. Amidst this, the makers have dropped an intriguing motion poster while announcing the commencement of the shoot.

As the makers announced the commencement of the shoot with a mahurat shot, they unveiled an intriguing motion poster that guarantees thrill. Featuring Poorti Ki Devi’s idol, the motion poster marks the beginning of Tumbbad 2. What truly heightens the curiosity is the line, "प्रलय आयेगा," leaving us wondering if something monumental is about to unfold.
Giving a strong and intact sense of the film’s mysterious theme, the motion poster exudes even more suspense and anticipation. While it looks immensely captivating, it also helps us connect with the energy of the film. This has further heightened the excitement for the release of the much-awaited Tumbbad 2.
While the muhurat puja has already set the bar for the film very high, they have now unveiled motion poster of the film, which is keeping the audience on the edge of their seats as the expectations have gone way higher.

Tumbbad 2 is being directed by Adesh Prasad and spearheaded by actor-producer Sohum Shah under his banner Sohum Shah Films, with Pen Studios, headed by veteran producer Dr. Jayantilal Gada, the powerhouse behind blockbusters such as RRR and Gangubai Kathiawadi. The distribution will be done by Pen Marudhar.
