Bollywood actress and entrepreneur Preity Zinta recently addressed a comment on social media that referred to her as a ‘trophy’ of her IPL team, the Punjab Kings. Known for speaking her mind, she responded firmly, explaining why such labels are inappropriate. Her reply quickly gained attention online, as she highlighted an important point about respect and how women should not be objectified.

Preity Zinta Reacts To Trophy Comment

During a Q&A session on X, Preity responded to a user who called her a “trophy.” She acknowledged the compliment but clearly stated that such comparisons are not acceptable. 

Preity wrote, “Thank you, that’s very sweet,t but honestly speaking, ng no woman wants to be a trophy. Trophies are owned by women are not!

She added further, “Trophies are kept in glass cupboards, and a woman’s place is in your life & in your heart. Filmy question ke liye filmy answer for you. Ting!” Her response was appreciated for its clarity and strong message.

Preity Zinta's Upcoming Films And Career Updates

Talking about her work, Preity also shared details about her upcoming film Lahore 1947. She said she always wanted to work in a period drama and was excited to collaborate with director Rajkumar Santoshi and actor Sunny Deol. The film explores a love story set during a time of conflict.

Preity also mentioned another project, Vibe, describing it as a fun and entertaining film. She said it was refreshing to work on a lighter story after an intense project like Lahore 1947. She revealed her film with Sunny Deol will be released on 13th August 2026. Both films are expected to be released this year.

Praise For Shreyas Iyer

The actor also praised Punjab Kings’ captain Shreyas Iyer for his leadership skills. She described him as calm, intelligent, and supportive. On a personal note, she shared that her children affectionately call him “Shreyas Bhaiya.”
