Thalapathy Vijay Viral Video: Things turned sideways when Thalapathy Vijay was about to leave from Chennai airport on Sunday after greeting the numerous admirers and members of the media. Just before getting into the car on his way back from Malaysia, actor and TVK chief, who was mobbed by a sizable fans, stumbled and fell. The security guards, however, immediately escorted him and assisted him in towards his vehicle.

Thalapathy Vijay, however, escaped unharmed. The incident has once highlighted the safety concerns of celebrities in public spaces. Samantha Ruth Prabhu was mobbed by a crowd a few days ago during a store launch in Hyderabad. Nidhhi Agerwal was mobbed by fans while she was leaving a Hyderabad mall to promote the song Sahana Sahana from the upcoming film The Raja Saab.

Thalapathy Vijay's fans expressed concern over the viral video and many have taken to social media to condemn the crowd's behaviour. A user wrote, "Uncivilised low IQ cult." Another user wrote, "Same thing happened to Samantha & Nidhi Agrawal few days back. In India of you are a celebrity people come near you..Civic sense & security lapse the problem." A third user wrote, "Yeah, that looked pretty chaotic. Safety should always come first. Hope he's okay. Maybe some better crowd control next time?"

Jana Nayagan Audio Launch Event

Nearly one lakh people attended the audio launch, which took place on December 27 in Kuala Lumpur's Bukit Jalil Stadium and went into the Malaysian Book of Records as the event with the highest audience. For the unversed, Malaysia is home to the largest Tamil diaspora in the world, after Sri Lanka.

Pooja Hegde, Priyamani, Anirudh Ravichander, lyricist Vivek, and choreographers Shobi Master and Shekar Master were all present at the lavish celebration in Malaysia in addition to Vijay.

Thalapathy Vijay confirmed at the audio launch that he was leaving movies to for his fans, who constructed him a 'Kottai' (a Tamil term for a stronghold similar to Fort St. George that houses the legislative, administration, and chief minister's office of Tamil Nadu). He said, "When I entered the cinema, I thought I was building a small sand house here. But you all have built me a palace. Fans helped me build a fort… That's why I've decided to stand for them. For the fans who gave up everything for me, I'm giving up cinema itself."

Jana Nayagan will be released in a number of languages, including its original Tamil and dubbed versions in Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi (called Jan Neta) on January 9, 2026.
