Fresh from her appearance at the Oscars 2026, global icon Priyanka Chopra Jonas has touched down in India, sparking immediate excitement upon her arrival at the Amritsar airport. The actress was recently captured in a viral video offering prayers at the Golden Temple. While the specific purpose of her visit remains under wraps, Priyanka’s presence in the holy city has captivated fans online, especially as she took the time to warmly pose for snapshots with locals during her stay.
In a viral clip shared on X, the global icon was seen fully immersed in the spiritual experience, performing seva at the Golden Temple by helping clean utensils alongside other devotees. Adhering to tradition, Priyanka opted for a graceful, baby pink Indian outfit with her head respectfully covered by a dupatta.
The candid video of her service at Sri Darbar Sahib has since trended widely, with fans praising her for staying connected to her roots despite her international stardom. She was also seen relishing authentic chole kulche. Sharing a glimpse of her meal on Instagram with the caption "Just Amritsar things", the actress embraced the local culture before heading to the Golden Temple to perform seva.

While the exact reason for her visit remains a mystery, rumors are rife that she is scouting locations or preparing for her role in SS Rajamouli’s Varanasi. Set for a 2027 release, the film features a powerhouse trio of Priyanka, Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj Sukumaran. Priyanka has already hailed the project as 'career-defining' and her presence in Punjab has fans convinced that the 'adventure' she teased on social media is the first step toward this epic cinematic journey.
Talking about Varanasi, Priyanka said, "The filmmaker’s name is SS Rajamouli sir and he is one of the best that we have in India. His movie is going to be really career-defining for me, I think and I am very excited about it."
