Piyush Mishra recently opened up about his personal life and marriage, reflecting on a difficult phase marked by emotional distance, infidelity, and eventual self-realisation. Drawing from his memoir Tumhari Auqaat Kya Hai, the actor-singer-writer shared how time and introspection helped him better understand relationships, admitting in a recent conversation that he wasn’t always the partner he should have been but has grown into a better husband now.

According to a report in News18, Mishra said, "Now I am a good husband; I wasn’t earlier. Back then, I wasn’t responsible at all, and marriage is a very big responsibility."

Piyush Mishra said love evolves with time—from youthful instinct to deeper companionship and growing old together—while admitting it took him years to truly acknowledge and understand his marriage. He continued, "It took me nearly 10–15 years to realise that she is my wife. Before that, she was just a woman who had my children, cooked for me and took care of the house. I had no feelings beyond that."
