The ongoing dispute between Ranveer Singh and the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) over Don 3 dispute has once again brought attention to celebrities who faced action from the film body in the past. Although FWICE later clarified that it had issued a non-cooperation directive and not a complete ban, several actors and singers have previously faced similar controversies and restrictions over different issues.

Diljit Dosanjh faced backlash in 2025 after his film Sardaar Ji 3 featured Pakistani actress Hania Aamir following the Pahalgam terror attack controversy. FWICE opposed the collaboration and issued a non-cooperation order against Diljit. Later, producer Bhushan Kumar reportedly requested the federation to reconsider the action to avoid affecting Border 2.
Mika Singh

Mika Singh faced FWICE action in 2019 after performing at a wedding in Karachi, Pakistan. Reports claimed the event was linked to relatives of former Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf. FWICE strongly objected to the performance and sought a ban on Mika and his crew. The singer later apologised publicly, after which the restrictions were lifted.

After Ranveer Singh ban controversy, Chunky Panday also recalled being banned by the film body. In a conversation with Etimes, Chunky Panday shared that in 1986 FWICE called for a strike all across the film industry, but still few producers used to shoot. He was banned from shooting for the film Aag Hi Aag but spared the other co-stars Shatrughan Sinha and Dharmendra because they were big stars. Chunky said however the ban was only for a week.
Gauahar Khan

In 2021, Gauahar Khan received a 60-day suspension from FWICE for allegedly violating COVID-19 quarantine rules while continuing a shoot after testing positive. The actress later resolved the issue personally, and the suspension was eventually withdrawn.
Kartik Aaryan

Kartik Aaryan once received a warning letter from FWICE regarding an alleged Pakistani restaurant event. However, the actor’s team clarified that he had no connection with the event and was never present there. They also requested organisers to remove all promotional material linked to him.
Over the years, the Federation of Western India Cine Employees has taken action against several stars over political, professional, and industry-related controversies. From warnings to suspensions and non-cooperation notices, these incidents show how strongly the film body reacts whenever disputes or sensitive issues create controversy within the entertainment industry.
