Friends actor Matthew Perry died at the age of 54. He was found unresponsive in a jacuzzi at his home in Pacific Palisades, Los Angeles. According to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner's report, the primary cause of death was the acute effects of ketamine. Now, a landmark auction featuring personal belongings and Friends memorabilia from Matthew Perry's estate is taking place on June 5 which will include some of his most-memorable things.

  • Scripts: 26 original Friends scripts from key episodes, as well as pilot and series-finale scripts signed by Perry and his co-stars.
  • Awards: Perry's personal 1995 Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Award and a custom-engraved Emmy award.
  • Memorabilia: A replica of Monica’s iconic yellow apartment peephole frame, a personal photo album titled The One With the Last Supper, and cast-signed keepsakes.
  • Fine Art: Notable artworks Perry owned, including original pieces by Banksy and Mel Bochner.

  • Previews: The items will be on public display in Beverly Hills from May 18 to May 29.
  • The Auction: The live auction will take place at Heritage Auctions' Dallas showroom on June 5, with online bidding also available.
  • Batman Collectibles: Perry was a massive Batman fan. Items include his limited-edition The Dark Knight Rises Memorigin watch, a custom Batman ping-pong table and a framed 3D 'Mattman' portrait gifted from Jimmy Kimmel Live!.

How did Matthew Perry die?

According to a report in People, the autopsy report confirmed that Matthew's system contained alarmingly high levels of ketamine, a substance that played a fatal role in his passing.
