Prince Harry allegedly referred to a journalist as 'sugar' and described their 'movie snuggles' in a flirtatious Facebook exchange almost ten years ago. In response, Daily Mail journalist Charlotte Griffiths nicknamed him 'Mr Mischief' in jest and hinted at a potential 'weekend of naughtiness', according to Page Six. These texts reappeared at a hearing on Tuesday when the court heard the Duke of Sussex's complaint against Associated Newspapers, the publisher of the Daily Mail and Mail.

Prince Harry and Charlotte Griffiths' messages, which were exchanged on Facebook between December 2011 and January 2012, were shown to Justice Matthew Nicklin on Tuesday during final arguments, as per The New York Post.

Prince Harry humorously introduced himself in a post dated December 4, 2011, writing, "It's H, in case you were confused by name and picture!!! X". Griffiths responded, "What a fun weekend of naughtiness – can't we all get up to no good in the countryside every weekend, damn it?? Smooches." To this, Harry replied, "Without doubt the best of those weekends I've been to."

Prince Harry talked about going to formal meals and how he had to strike up a conversation with strangers while soliciting charitable donations in the same conversations. Griffiths referred to him as 'H bomb' and stated he had been missed at a social event in a subsequent communication dated January 22, 2012.

Prince Harry’s text read, "I wish I was there sugar, but unfortunately stuck in Cornwall doing Army stuff. Otherwise, I would have been there playing and then drinking u under the table, obvi!!(sic)"

In court, Harry stated that he had only ever met journalist Charlotte Griffiths once and had cut off communication with her after learning that she was a reporter.

According to The New York Post, Charlotte Griffiths claimed in her testimony that she went to a party with Prince Harry the night before Trooping the Colour in June 2012 and that the two messaged each other the next morning. "We were all the same age and going to the same places in London at night, so knew each other socially for a time (sic)," shesaid in her witness statement.

Prince Harry has accused Associated Newspapers Limited of obtaining information about him between 1993 and 2011 through unlawful means like wiretapping and phone hacking. He claimed that it was illegal to obtain the type of personal information that the Daily Mail and Mail published on Sunday.

The publisher has denied any misconduct and hinted that their knowledge might have come from Harry's close associates.
