Dhurandhar 2, titled The Revenge, is now running in theatres. The film follows an undercover Indian intelligence agent who continues his dangerous mission inside Karachi, navigating criminal syndicates and political networks while seeking justice for the 2008 Mumbai attacks and taking on even larger threats. The storyline is loosely inspired by real-life events across South Asia, including Operation Lyari, the 2014 Indian general election and the 2016 Indian banknote demonetisation, blending fiction with elements of recent geopolitical history. The narrative deepens with the introduction and expansion of several new characters who significantly elevate the stakes.
Dhurandhar 2: New Characters
Danish Iqbal as Bade Sahab: Danish Iqbal emerges as the true mastermind behind the overarching conspiracy, positioning himself as the ultimate antagonist whose influence operates from the shadows. His character has drawn comparisons to real-life underworld figures like Dawood Ibrahim, adding a layer of realism and intrigue to the story.
Yami Gautam makes a brief yet crucial appearance in a high-tension hospital sequence, portraying a nurse who plays a decisive role by executing a key target, making her cameo both impactful and memorable.
Vicky Kaushal reprises his role as Major Vihaan Shergill from Uri: The Surgical Strike, in an extended cameo that effectively connects the two films and hints at a shared cinematic universe.
