Raghav Chadha officially joined Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on April 24, 2026. The ex-AAP leader has been consistently in the spotlight regarding his political journey for some time now. In early April 2026—specifically on April 2—the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) removed him from the post of 'Deputy Speaker', days after which he joined BJP. Amidst this major political upheaval, an old social media post by Parineeti Chopra—in which she openly expressed her support for her husband—is going viral.
At the time when Raghav Chadha was removed and Ashok Mittal was appointed as the 'Deputy Speaker' in his place, Raghav posted a video on his official Instagram account. In the caption accompanying the video, he wrote: "I have been silenced... but I have not been defeated."
Parineeti Chopra reposted this post on her official Instagram Story. In the video shared by the Amar Singh Chamkila actress, Chadha spoke about the tax burden on the middle class, banking penalties, food adulteration, air pollution, exam paper leaks, issues related to data privacy and rising prices in sectors such as aviation and healthcare.

Prior to this as well, Parineeti Chopra had penned a lengthy post for Raghav Chadha, commending him for raising the issue of 'paternity leave' in Parliament. Praising her husband, Parineeti wrote, "My dear husband, today you spoke not merely as an MP, but as the father I see every single day. We have discussed so often how our children need the presence of both parents. When you spoke today, it wasn't just about policy; it stemmed from that very sentiment—from the way you raise our child, and the way you are present in every moment, often without a word needing to be spoken. You understand perfectly well that the responsibility of parenthood is shared, not shouldered by just one person."
It is worth noting that Raghav Chadha and Parineeti Chopra tied the knot in 2023, and in 2025, the couple welcomed their son, 'Neer.' Parineeti Chopra has always stood by Raghav Chadha as a strong shield during every difficult time.
