Janhvi Kapoor’s father, Boney Kapoor, has denied the rumours linking Janhvi and Shikhar to tie the knot in 2023. The rumours speculated that the couple would tie the knot in Jamnagar in late 2026. Boney Kapoor, when asked about this, denied all speculations regarding their marriage plans. He told Bombay Times, “No, this is not true.”

Janhvi and Shikhar's romance began even before she entered the film industry. It is said that they dated each other for a short time and broke up in 2016. Later on, they reunited and were seen hanging out together in public and private places. Janhvi Kapoor publicly confirmed her relationship with Shikhar in 2024 on the Koffee With Karan Show.
