Ankush Bahuguna Faces Homophobia In London

According to Ankush Bahuguna, the experience made him feel uneasy, afraid, and unsafe. As groups of guys laughed, hooted, and made mocking comments like "Welcome to the parade," the video showed a clearly disturbed Ankush.

Ankush Bahuguna said, "It’s 2026 for f***’s sake, and this is what happens on the street if you just wear pink," Ankush said in the video, adding, "You think this is London, it would be more progressive, more open-minded... clearly not."

Ankush Bahuguna pointed out a clear gender gap in the responses he got, pointing out that whereas women often praised his attire, men of all ages, including kids, called him 'absurd sh**'. Concluding the video, he said, "If a guy just minding his own business... is making you feel uncomfortable, it's not his masculinity that's weak".

She also criticised the romanticised image of London by pointing out that harassment, unsafe behaviour, and public misconduct.

Kusha Kapila, who extended her support, wrote, "I am so sorry this happened to you, Ankush. Most men who feel the need to do this have probably never given themselves the freedom to wear beautiful clothes."
