Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar: The Revenge, which made Rs 4.65 crore on its 31st day at the box office and increased its total domestic net collection to Rs 1,110.47 crore, is another rival to Bhooth Bangla. Bhooth Bangla Storyline

According to a folktale, a monster known as Vadhusur kidnaps newlyweds before their wedding night, which is why no one gets married in Mangalpur. Bhooth Bangla, set in the early 2000s, centres on Akshay Kumar's character, Arjun, who lives in London and owes large sums to multiple loan sharks.

Arjun plans his sister Meera's (Mithila Palkar) wedding after inheriting a castle in their ancestral hamlet of Mangalpur. Before everyone arrives for the wedding, he assumes responsibility for organising the house. What comes next is a complete mess that cannot be fixed.
