Sonali Raut, known for her stint on Bigg Boss and films like The Xposé, has sparked controversy after alleging that unhygienic conditions inside Bigg Boss Marathi 6 affected her health. She shared a disturbing video showing skin infections and rashes, calling out the makers and demanding accountability.
She further raised concerns over what she described as 'life-risking' conditions, posting another video that highlighted the severity of the issue. The visuals of visible rashes have intensified the controversy, bringing renewed scrutiny to the reality show’s living standards.
The actress wrote on Instagram, "Reality TV shouldn’t mean risking your life. I entered Bigg Boss Marathi 6 with trust, but I was pushed beyond human limits. From contracting a contagious skin disease like scabies due to extreme unhygienic conditions to living with rats and cockroaches in the kitchen, the nightmare was real. It’s time for accountability."
She further added, "Beyond the glamour lies a dark reality of starvation, sleep deprivation, and zero hygiene. I was forced to share basic essentials like towels and even razors, leading to a severe skin infection. No one should have to choose between their career and their health."

Earlier this month, Sonali Raut reportedly sent a legal notice to the makers of Bigg Boss Marathi 6, alleging mental and physical harm. She claimed she developed scabies due to the unhygienic conditions and continues to suffer its after-effects. She described the environment as highly unsanitary, alleging rodents in the kitchen, contaminated food, and contestants sharing a poorly maintained washroom. She also said there were times when she did not receive adequate food and faced extreme sleep deprivation.
According to Sonali, the lack of basic hygiene supplies forced contestants to share personal items, worsening the situation. She added that she had requested eviction due to her declining health, but claimed it was not shown on air, stressing the need for accountability.
