Ranveer Singh left Farhan Akhtar's highly anticipated movie, Don 3. While earlier reports stated that the actor quit because of creative disagreements, a new report disclosed the true nature of this separation. Ranveer Singh's seven demands to the makers were the reason for his exit.
Ranveer Singh set seven particular requirements, which included having 100 kg of ice on site, seven vanity trucks, and much more, according to a Free Press Journal report. He also intended to employ 'strong language' in Don 3 to the tastes of the present audience. Additionally, Ranveer Singh wanted the character to develop a 'darker' and more aggressive edge.
Here are the alleged 7 demands put forward by Ranveer Singh:
- 7 vanity vans
- 2 vans to be fully covered with black cloth
- 100 kg of ice on set
- A dedicated assistant of his choice for coordination
- His own team will film and oversee action scenes.
- Self-control over the studio editing of his action scenes
- Don's tone is rougher and darker, akin to Dhurandhar and its follow-up

According to reports, Farhan Akhtar refused to change the tone under duress and stuck to his original concept. Ranveer Singh eventually left the project in 2025 as a result of this creative disagreement.

For those who are unaware, Ranveer Singh departed from Don 3 last year. His fallout with Farhan became public amid script disagreements. Excel Entertainment, the production company backing the project, reportedly sought Rs 40 crore, claiming pre-production costs, scheduling conflicts, and associated losses. The production company insisted that the groundwork was completed following Ranveer Singh's approval. The actor reportedly agreed to reimburse a portion of this sum as well.
Speaking on the unpredictable nature of filmmaking, Farhan Akhtar subsequently stated in an interview with Hollywood Reporter India that difficulties are a necessary part of the process and that nothing can be taken for granted until a movie is finished. "What I have learnt is to expect the unexpected. Nothing can be taken for granted till you actually have it on film."
He continued saying that his movie career has been an amazing journey thus far, and that he chose to accept the difficult times that have been unavoidable.
