Kartavya Twitter Review: Kartavya has finally premiered on Netflix, bringing Saif Ali Khan back in a cop avatar years after Sacred Games. While viewers appreciated Saif’s intense performance and the film’s serious subject matter, many felt the screenplay lacked depth and emotional impact. Audiences on X formerly Twitter) had mixed opinions about the film. Many viewers praised Saif Ali Khan’s screen presence despite feeling disappointed by the writing.

One user wrote, “#Kartavya Saif Ali Khan rises above the weak script and delivers a fine performance as expected. Rasika Dugal leaves a huge mark in a supporting role. Sanjay Mishra is dependable, though he’s let down by the writing.”

Fans Praise Saif Ali Khan And Criticise Saurav Dwivedi 

Another user shared, “Starts out fascinating until…plot loopholes, unresolved arcs and feeble explanations for sudden betrayals leave it looking phusss.”

A third viewer commented, “SaifAliKhan’s Kartavya has a sharp premise…but the mellowed approach weakens the film in the end. One time watch.”

Meanwhile, Saurabh Dwivedi’s performance received criticism online. One user joked, “Saurabh Dvivedi's acting in Kartavya is so bad that you will laugh out loud all over the movie.”

Plot Of The Netflix Film Kartavya

The film follows cop Pawan, played by Saif Ali Khan, who gets assigned to protect a journalist. However, she is murdered in front of him, putting his career at risk. Determined to avoid suspension, Pawan sets out to catch the killers within seven days.

Alongside the murder investigation, the story also explores caste politics and honour killing through another subplot involving a village couple. Although the premise feels intense and socially relevant, viewers felt the screenplay became predictable after a strong beginning.

Actors’ Performances And Film’s Biggest Drawback

While Yudhvir Ahlawat impressed audiences with his restrained acting, Rasika Dugal and Sanjay Mishra also delivered sincere performances. However, many viewers struggled to connect with Saif’s rural cop character and the underdeveloped antagonist.
