The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has opened the Class 12 re-evaluation and verification process from May 19. On Wednesday night, the board stated that its online portal for obtaining scanned copies of Class 12 answer sheets was working smoothly. However, soon after CBSE’s statement, many students and social media users complained about technical problems on the website.

Students Raise Concerns Over Blurred Sheets

Several students said that although the application fee had been deducted from their bank accounts, the portal still showed the payment as unsuccessful. Some users also claimed that the website was slow or getting stuck at the “Preview and Confirmation” stage during the application process. Apart from payment issues, some students also questioned the On-Screen Marking (OSM) evaluation system used by CBSE.

A few users shared screenshots of allegedly blurred scanned answer sheets on X and asked how proper evaluation was possible if the copies were unclear on the system. A user wrote, “we are providing you the proofs too, you are very responsible right? Then answer this now. How the hell you checked these copies? You still have the audacity to defend your so-called Flawless OSM? Site is still not working properly and now we even have the proofs. According to you the whole country was wrong and you were right but after seeing the copies what you going to say?? ARE THE COPIES THAT YOU PROVIDED ARE WRONG TOO?”

Students Point Out Technical Glitches

Another user said, “I have made the payment of 400 Rs against application id 122962 and the payment was made today ie 21 st May at 1203AM (in the night ) but still its not being reflected , neither I can go to the site, please see.” A third user pointed out the technical snag and commented, “Still website is not work. Why are you guys playing with the future of our youth and futures leader.”

Meanwhile, the CBSE noted that by 7:30 pm on May 20, nearly 1.27 lakh applications were submitted for around 3.87 lakh scanned answer books within just three hours of the portal opening. Students were also asked to continue using the facility through the official portal. The CBSE class 12 board results were released on May 13. After the announcement of results, students had alleged irregularities in the marking system.
