India finished the ODI series against Afghanistan in style with a dominant nine-wicket win in the third and final match at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

Chasing a target of 219, India made the task look easy thanks to brilliant batting from openers Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rohit Sharma. Jaiswal remained unbeaten on 110 from just 86 balls, while Rohit scored a classy 79 off 69 deliveries. Their outstanding partnership put India in complete control of the chase.

The hosts reached 224/1 in only 28.4 overs. Shreyas Iyer, who is serving as India's vice-captain, stayed not out on 20 from 19 balls and hit the winning runs. After the victory, Iyer shared a cheerful low-five with head coach Gautam Gambhir, a moment that brought a smile to the coach's face. The clip of the incident went viral on social media. Here is the video.

India got off to a flying start with Rohit and Jaiswal at the crease. While Rohit took some time to settle in, Jaiswal looked confident right from the beginning. He attacked Afghanistan's bowlers early and helped India build momentum. The pair added 170 runs for the first wicket, effectively sealing the match for India.

Rohit's innings ended when he was caught at deep mid-wicket off Mohammad Nabi's bowling while trying to play a pull shot. By then, however, the result was almost certain.

Earlier in the day, Afghanistan struggled at 36/4 after a superb spell from Prasidh Krishna, who dismantled the top order. Despite the early setbacks, captain Hashmatullah Shahidi played a fighting knock of 102 runs from 131 balls and helped his team recover to 218.

In the end, India's strong bowling performance and explosive batting display proved too much for Afghanistan, as the Men in Blue completed a comfortable series-ending victory.
