Sunny Daud

Sunny Daud is an Indian sports journalist who is currently working as a Senior sub editor at The Daily Jagran, with extensive experience across some of the country’s leading media organisations, including Zee Media, India TV, Sports Tak, and now Jagran New Media.

Having covered three ICC World Cups, two Olympic Games, and interviewing some of the notable cricketers like Kapil Dev, Mohammed Shami, Zaheer Abbas. Sunny brings deep expertise in reporting major global sporting events, breaking news, player analysis, match coverage, and exclusive stories from the world of sports. His journalism is known for combining speed with accuracy, while also offering strong context and insight that connect with both passionate fans and serious followers of the game.

A former left-handed batting all-rounder himself, Sunny understands cricket beyond statistics and scorecards. His experience as a player gives him a unique edge in storytelling, allowing him to break down performances, strategies, and dressing-room dynamics with clarity and authenticity. This on-field understanding adds depth to his reporting and makes his analysis stand out in a highly competitive sports media landscape.

Before joining Jagran New Media, Sunny worked with top news organisations such as Zee Media, India TV, and Sports Tak, where he strengthened his expertise in television reporting, live sports production and digital storytelling.

Sunny holds a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communication (BJMC) and an LLB degree from Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut.
