Sri Lanka A booked their place in the final of the tri-series after a convincing 103-run win over Afghanistan A in the last league match. They will now take on India A in the title clash on June 21.
Batting first, Sri Lanka A put up an impressive 322/8 in their 50 overs. While chasing, Afghanistan A were bowled out for 219 in 42.5 overs. The victory has added even more excitement to the upcoming final, especially after the heated moments seen in the last outing between India A and Sri Lanka A.

Avishka Fernando starred with the bat for Sri Lanka A, scoring a brilliant 101 off 97 balls. He received good support from Niroshan Dickwella, who made 66, and Nuwanidu Fernando, who chipped in with 45 runs. Although Afghanistan A’s Faridoon Dawoodzai picked up four wickets, Sri Lanka A still managed to cross the 300-run mark comfortably.
Afghanistan A never really got going in their chase of 323. Hassan Eisakhil fought hard with a well-made 74, but wickets kept falling at the other end. Sri Lanka A’s Dulaj Samuditha was the standout performer with the ball, claiming five wickets and helping his team seal a dominant victory.
Now, all eyes are on the final between India A and Sri Lanka A. Fans will be especially eager to watch Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Vishen Halambage after the on-field altercation between the two in their previous meeting. The incident has only increased the anticipation surrounding the final. Vaibhav will be keen to answer his critics with a big performance, while Sri Lanka A will look to put him under pressure once again.
