Lucknow Super Giants pacer Akash Singh stole the limelight while featuring against Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2026, not just for his bowling but also for his unique celebration after rattling Ruturaj Gaikwad-led side's top order.

Akash made an immediate impact with the ball, breaking through CSK’s top order with tight spells around the powerplay. Every time he picked up a wicket, he pulled out a small note and showed it to the crowd, which quickly caught everyone’s attention.

Akash Singh's Note After Picking Wicket

Fans on social media were quick to figure out what the message on the note said, and it was later confirmed by LSG’s official X account and the commentators on air. The note read: “#Akkionfire – Akash knows how to take wickets in a T20 game.”

How Akash Singh dominated vs CSK

Akash shared the new ball duties with Mohammed Shami. Even though he was hit for a boundary early by CSK captain Ruturaj Gaikwad, he still kept things under control and gave away just seven runs in that over.

He came back strongly in his next spell and dismissed Gaikwad, who mistimed a shot straight to mid-on where Nicholas Pooran took an easy catch. That was also the moment when Akash showed his first note.

Later, he picked up another wicket when Gaikwad’s opening partner Sanju Samson miscued a shot to deep square leg.

Akash completed his spell in the eighth over, and by then he had already made a strong impact on the match. His final wicket came when Urvil Patel, who had earlier impressed with a rapid 50 in a previous game against LSG, was also dismissed.

Kartik Sharma guided CSK to 187/5

Kartik Sharma played a brilliant knock of 71 off just 42 balls to anchor Chennai Super Kings to 187/5 in their IPL clash. However, it was Shivam Dube’s explosive unbeaten cameo of 32 runs from only 16 deliveries in the final overs that gave CSK a strong finish and pushed them to a competitive total.
