Mumbai Indians (MI) completed their six-player shopping list at the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2027 auction, signing six Indian players as they looked to fill the remaining spots in their squad.
With Rs 90 lakh available before the auction and no overseas slots to fill, the two-time champions focused entirely on Indian talent. Shweta Sehrawat was their most expensive signing at Rs 20 lakh, while Disha Kasat, Latika Inamdar, Bharti Rawal, Sanika Chalke and Akshita Bhagat were bought for Rs 10 lakh each.
Mumbai spent Rs 70 lakh on the six players, leaving Rs 20 lakh from their available purse, based on the prices listed.
Harmanpreet Kaur-led MI entered the auction with a strong core of experienced players, including Nat Sciver-Brunt, Amelia Kerr, Hayley Matthews, Nicola Carey and Shabnim Ismail. Their Indian contingent also features Amanjot Kaur, Sajeevan Sajana, Sanskriti Gupta, Vaishnavi Sharma and Rahila Firdous.
The franchise had released six players ahead of the auction, creating room for fresh additions. With their latest signings, MI have added more domestic options as they prepare for the 2027 season.
