The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced two separate squads for the upcoming ODI series against New Zealand, with Shubman Gill set to lead India in the first three matches before being rested for the final two games. Vice-captain Shreyas Iyer will take over the captaincy in Gill’s absence.

The BCCI has named four replacements for the final two matches, including young wicketkeeper Kumar Kushagra, who has earned his maiden call-up to the Indian squad. Tilak Varma, Yash Thakur and Auqib Nabi have also been added to the squad for the remainder of the series.
