Mumbai Indians sparked fresh buzz on social media after their latest post on X, with many fans linking it to Arshdeep Singh’s recent “andhera” comment aimed at Tilak Varma. The post came after Mumbai’s win over Punjab Kings and quickly grabbed attention online.

The controversy started when a Snapchat video featuring Arshdeep and Tilak began circulating on social media on Thursday, May 14. In the clip, Arshdeep was seen joking around with Tilak in a casual conversation. He called Tilak “andhere,” teased him about using sunscreen, and pointed towards Naman Dhir while calling him the real “noor” from Punjab. While the exchange appeared playful, several users online felt the comments had racist undertones and criticised the Punjab Kings pacer.

The issue also received a reaction from former India spinner and commentator Laxman Sivaramakrishnan. He said the BCCI should consider taking action against Arshdeep over the remarks made in the video.

“I told you guys. Tilak can’t say anything now as he is in early part of his career. But BCCI with this proof can take action,” Sivaramakrishnan said.
