After being asked to bat, PBKS got off to a good start. Prabhsimran Singh scored 57 runs and shared a 50-run opening partnership in just 33 balls with Priyansh Arya, who made 27. The duo gave their team early momentum and helped PBKS reach 55 for 1 in the power play.
Later, Prabhsimran stitched another useful partnership of 57 runs with Cooper Connolly, taking Punjab past the 100-run mark in the 12th over. Even though the Mumbai Indians fought back strongly, Punjab kept scoring at a good pace.
