IPL 2026: Ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026, Mumbai Indians veteran batter Rohit Sharma has officially joined the five-time champions' squad, and the former captain was seen batting at his top gear during a match practice in the nets.

In a net session video shared by MI on their X account, Rohit played an aggressive pull shot, which eventually backfired as the ball skied off the top edge, allowing a fielder to take a comfortable catch. The moment drew animated reactions from his teammates.

In another video, the hard-hitting opener was seen in a duel against pacer Shardul Thakur. Rohit smashed a powerful six off Shardul’s delivery, which was followed by a friendly banter between the two players.

Rohit was heard saying, “Catch it, in the stands, catch it”, all while Shardul smiled widely.
