India completed a crushing innings-and-300-run victory over Afghanistan on the third day of the one-off Test on Monday, registering the biggest win in their Test history.

After posting a massive 564 for 8 declared in their first innings, India dominated the contest from start to finish. Afghanistan were bowled out for 152 in their first innings and, after being asked to follow on, fared even worse in the second, getting dismissed for just 112.

Debutant Manav Suthar starred with the ball, producing an impressive spell of 6 for 33 in the first innings to put Afghanistan under pressure early in the match. In the second innings, Washington Sundar led the attack with four wickets, while Kuldeep Yadav chipped in with three.

Sediqullah Atal fought hard with 42 runs, while Rahmanullah Gurbaz made 24, but Afghanistan never looked capable of challenging India’s dominance.
