The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced India’s T20I squad for the upcoming series against West Indies, starting October 6. India will play three ODIs followed by five T20Is against the Caribbean side.

Shreyas Iyer will lead the T20I team, with Tilak Varma named his deputy. Iyer’s side will return after the Asian Games 2026, where several senior players are expected to be involved during the ODI series.

Kuldeep Yadav returns

India spinner Kuldeep Yadav has made his return to the T20I squad after a seven-month gap. The left-arm wrist-spinner last played a T20I against Pakistan in February during the 2026 T20 World Cup. His return comes after an impressive spell in County Cricket, where he picked up a 10-wicket haul.
