Arshdeep Singh has once again found himself at the centre of social media controversy after a video involving young Punjab Kings teammate Priyansh Arya went viral during the ongoing IPL season.

Arshdeep Singh mocked Priyansh Arya

The clip, reportedly shared on Arshdeep’s Snapchat story, was recorded inside the Punjab Kings team bus while the squad was travelling in Lucknow. In the video, Priyansh Arya can be seen sitting at the back of the bus alongside teammate Harpreet Brar.

Although Arshdeep is not visible in the video, fans recognised his voice in the background. He is heard joking with Priyansh and saying, “What a cutie, man! Show me your smile. Show me your teeth,” before laughing.

The video quickly spread across social media and triggered mixed reactions from fans. Some people felt it was harmless fun between teammates and normal dressing-room banter. However, others believed Priyansh looked uncomfortable during the interaction.

In the clip, Priyansh is seen avoiding the camera while continuing a phone call, and many social media users pointed to his body language while debating whether the teasing went too far.

Arshdeep Singh earlier mocked Tilak Varma

This is not the first time Arshdeep has faced criticism online in recent days. Earlier, another viral video involving Tilak Varma sparked controversy after Arshdeep was heard saying “Oye andhere” while speaking to the Mumbai Indians batter. Some users on social media accused him of making an insensitive comment.

The Punjab Kings pacer was also in the headlines after replying strongly to a fan online who suggested the franchise should remove “Punjab” from its team name. Arshdeep responded by saying he could not take advice from people who still ask their families for money to buy chips and cold drinks.

All these controversies have come at a difficult time for Punjab Kings on the field. The team has lost six matches in a row, putting their playoff hopes in serious danger. Punjab now need a win against Lucknow Super Giants in their final league match to stay alive in the playoff race.
