The 19th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) has been concluded after a two month of jam packed schedule with the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) defeating the Gujarat Titans (GT) in the final to defend their title at the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

After the conclusion of the T20 league, Indian cricket will return to the top-tier action with international duties from June 6, as the Shubman Gill-led side will take on Afghanistan for a one-off Test match scheduled to take place in New Chandigarh.

Notably, India and Afghanistan are scheduled to play one Test match and three ODIs between June 6 and the T20. After the conclusion of the series, Team India will travel to Europe to feature in seven T20Is and three ODIs against Ireland and England.

After that, Team India will play two Test matches against Sri Lanka in August. However, the official schedule has yet to be released. India’s 2026-27 home season will then begin in late September.
