Iran has strongly reacted to a United States woman, who claimed that her son is a fighter pilot and she hadn't heard from him after an F-15 went down and the pilots went missing. Tehran has warned that the US sons were more in danger under President Donald Trump than in Iranian custody.

After the fighter jet went down, a US woman took to X and said, "Please keep the two F-15 pilots who were shot down in your prayers tonight. One of my sons is a fighter pilot, and I still haven’t heard any news from him or his unit. My heart is heavy with worry. Please pray for all the pilots and their families."

Reacting to the post, the Iranian Embassy in Pakistan said, "Be sure your sons are more in danger with DJ Trump than in custody in Iran. Pray he's kept captive by Iran rather than found by US rescue teams!"

"As Muslim and civilised Iranians, we know how to treat captives in custody with dignity and respect," the post further added.

The Iranian Embassy in South Africa also reacted to the woman's post, emphasising the protected rights of the prisoners of war (POW). The embassy also quipped at the US, using the 'Stone Age' remark.

The post read, "In Iran, long before so-called humanitarian laws were written, the rights of POWs (prisoners of war) were already defined. We do not treat POWs like your savage allies, the Zionists. We have an Iranian civilisation. We do not live like in the Stone Age, like America".

Notably, Iran downed two American fighter jets on Friday, an F-15 and an A-10. While the A-10 crashed over Kuwait and the pilots were reportedly safe, the F-15 crashed over the Iranian sky. A crew member was rescued while one went missing.

Later, two Black Hawk helicopters, which were on a search and rescue mission, were also struck, but they managed to return after the hit.
