The US Army has reportedly placed a senior official within its nuclear and chemical surety office on administrative leave following the release of a viral "undercover video". The footage, published by James O'Keefe's media group, purportedly shows Andrew Hugg, claimed to be a Branch Chief of Nuclear and Chemical Surety, disclosing sensitive details regarding US military operations, nuclear protocols, and chemical weapon stockpiles during a recorded conversation at a public restaurant.
The viral video came at a crucial time when Iran-US war is going on where earlier reports indicated the Trump administration was potentially use low intensity nuclear weapons which does not have energy to destroy the region but are capable of infrastructural damage.

Security breach and dismissal
Although the US defence department has not publicly addressed whether the video was genuine, the viral went crazy viral on social media planforms. In his role, Hugg claimed responsibility for the "surety" of the nation’s most dangerous assets, ensuring that nuclear weapons remain secure and that the personnel granted access to them are psychologically vetted. "I make sure people are reliable... You don't want a psycho person with access to that stuff," he told the undercover journalist.
Controversial claims on Iran and civilian casualties
The footage captures Hugg making provocative statements regarding US foreign policy and military targets. He suggested that Iran's top leadership, specifically mentioning Mojtaba Khamenei, remains a potential target for the American military if political behaviors do not shift. Furthermore, Hugg addressed the grim reality of US airstrikes, allegedly acknowledging that children have been killed in such operations. He dismissed these incidents as "collateral damage," stating bluntly that "they (children) always die in war."

Disclosure of technical and chemical secrets
Beyond policy, the video shows Hugg discussing technical aspects of US defence. He detailed the use of space-based sensors and radar to track missile launches, noting the military’s ability to determine the size and speed of incoming threats. Hugg used a colorful, if concerning, analogy to describe the rigidity of launch orders, claiming that if a "Girl Scout" delivered a launch message on a box of cookies that passed all security checks, personnel are trained to execute it immediately.
The man in the video which is claimed to be a nuclear scientist alleged that the US maintains supplies of the nerve agent Sarin at a facility in Maryland. He described the lethal effects of the agent on the human body and recounted an anecdote regarding a lab chemist who was allegedly exposed due to a failure to wear protective gear.
