US-Iran War: The countdown for the deadliest attack by the US on Iran is underway. If US President Donald Trump's threats were believed, it would be a night of the deaths of thousands of Iranians. However, it is not wise to trust Trump's words, crediting his inconsistency on the Iran war policy. In a fresh threat, he claimed that a whole civilisation would die tonight, never to be brought back again if the Strait of Hormuz, a key global chokepoint for fuel trade, is not open.

"A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again. I don’t want that to happen, but it probably will. However, now that we have Complete and Total Regime Change, where different, smarter, and less radicalised minds prevail, maybe something revolutionarily wonderful can happen, WHO KNOWS? We will find out tonight, one of the most important moments in the long and complex history of the World. 47 years of extortion, corruption, and death will finally end. God Bless the Great People of Iran!," his post on Truthsocial read.

Iran Prepares With Mini-Submarines

Meanwhile, the Iranian military is also targeting US bases in the Gulf countries. The Strait of Hormuz is at the centre of the war in the Middle East. Iran views it as its greatest strength. Iran has deployed numerous mini-submarines in this waterway. These submarines are hidden deep in the sea.

Iran Lays Trap For US Troops In The Strait Of Hormuz

Iran has deployed baby submarines in the Strait of Hormuz. More than 20 of these submarines are fully active. These Iranian submarines are quite small, but can prove to be equally lethal. These baby submarines could prove fatal for the US military in this waterway.

These Iranian submarines are called the Gadir class, which are electric-diesel submarines. These submarines are 29 meters long and 9 meters wide. They can be launched even in waterways where the water is only 8.2 meters deep.

Difficult For US To Detect Submarines

The Strait of Hormuz is very narrow and shallow. Iran has small Ghadir-class submarines that operate stealthily in the shallow waters of the Strait of Hormuz, often undetectable by US Navy sonar (Sound Navigation and Ranging) systems. The average depth of this waterway is 36 meters. In some places, it is only 20 meters deep, while near the coast, its depth ranges from 50 to 110 meters, which provides Iran a strategic advantage. The submarines can be hidden even in waters as deep as 20 meters. Sonar systems also fail in the Strait of Hormuz, making it difficult for any military to detect these submarines.

Small Package, Big Explosion

This Iranian submarine is so small that it has a crew of only 7 people. These submarines cannot undertake long voyages; they are designed for short journeys only. Despite their small size, they are designed for rapid attacks. They travel at a surface speed of 19 kilometres per hour, while underwater, these mini-submarines reach a speed of around 14 kilometres per hour.

These Iranian submarines are small in size, but they can carry lethal weapons. These submarines have 533-millimetre torpedo tubes.

The most dangerous weapon of this submarine is the Hoot supercavitating torpedo. This torpedo can travel underwater at a speed of 360 kilometres per hour. This torpedo can destroy even large ships like aircraft carriers.

Even Sonar Can Detect Iranian Small Submarines

The Gadir-class submarines are difficult for any military to detect because they can easily hide underwater. These submarines can easily hide on the seabed. When the engines of the submarines are off, they cannot be detected even with sonar. Sonar is a device used to detect underwater weapons. When the engines of these submarines are off, they appear to be just like rocks or the seabed on sonar.
